I've always loved spicy food. Even as a child, I would often ask my mom to make her dishes spicer. This dish is spicy, and sour. That may sound like an odd combination, but trust me-- it's yummy!!!
Ingredients:
1 lbs of green beans
8 oz. of mushroom
3 tbsp of Hoisin sauce
4 tbsp. of garlic chili sauce (I used Sriracha garlic sauce)
1/4 cup of soy sauce
1 tbsp of sesame oil
2 tbsp. of rice wine, or white wine
1/4 cup of rice vinegar
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1 inch of ginger, minced
3 tbsp. of olive oil
Snap off the ends of the green beans, rinse and dry off.
Mince the garlic and ginger. Thank goodness for my food processor!!!
Combine the chili garlic sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice wine, rice vinegar, and Hoisin sauce.
In a wok or large skillet, heat the 3 tbsp. of olive oil on medium high and add the ginger and garlic. Stir fry until they begin to soften.
Add in the green beans and stir fry for about 2 minutes.
Add the mushrooms once the green beans begin to soften.
When the mushrooms begin to sweat, pour the sauce into the wok.
Stir fry for a couple of minutes, and then let the sauce simmer until most of it evaporates.
Serve on rice.
Enjoy! Nom, nom, nom...
